  In June 2018, I joined Shell Exploration Company as a geophysicist in the Imaging Team for Latin and North America. I hold a PhD in Geophysical Engineering (2018) and MS in Geophysics (2018) from Colorado School of Mines and BE in Mechanical Engineering (AUB 2012). My PhD research focuses on characterizing the Ordovician Red River Formation in the Cedar Creek Anticline using seismic and well log data. The research is divided into 2 main parts. My petrophysical analysis focused on evaluating the rock composition and fluid content from well logs and conducting a sensitivity analysis to determine effect of mineralogy, porosity, fractures, pressures, and fluid saturations on elastic properties. The second part of my research uses my developed rock physics model in conjunction with the model-based and facies-based pre-stack inversion methods to invert for facies and porosity distributions at the reservoir level. In my research, the facies-based pre-stack inversion technique is able to generate an improved result in quantifying porosity compared to the model-based pre-stack inversion method. My research is the first application of joint impedance and facies inversion (Ji-Fi) to characterize a deep (9000 ft) and thin (20ft) dolomite interval. Shell
